Searching for the parents of Timothy W. Sisk, born in 1810 in Kentucky, married lst Louisa Miller in 1831, had daughter Louisa Sisk, married 2nd to Nancy Hunter (believed to be the daughter of David Hunter) in 1835 had daughter Dorinda Adelaide Sisk in 1836 and George Washington Sisk in 1845 born in Hopkins County, Kentucky. Timothy may have been connected to an Andrew, Thomas, Willis, or Asa Sisk. This whole family moved to Shelby County, Illinois by 1850. Family tradition says that Timothy was one of 3 sons. We believe the initial W. stood for William.

Thank you Wayne,  The Timothy Sisk Jr listed on the 1820 census has been linked to that of the Reverend Timothy Sisk who had a son Milton born in N.C. who would have been under 10 years old on the 1820 census, so it is difficult to claim this one as "mine".  I know for certain that my Timothy was born in 1810 (in June) in Madisonville, Hopkins Co., Kentucky.  If the census was taken in August in he should have appeared on the 1810 census, but nothing is for sure with census takers.  Also Timothy put on his census records after he moved to Illinois that both of his parents were born in Virginia.

Every little bit helps, thanks,  Sharyn
