The website indicates my ancestor Obadiah Clement owned a tavern in Hebron, NH. My ancestor James Gould married Sophia Paine; her father John Paine owned a tavern near Dartmouth college in Hanover, NH. It turns out the president of the college wanted to yank Paine's license. Any leads would be helpful.
