I tried to post a death certificate and a birth certificate and got this

I tried to upload a birth certificate and death certificate that I downloaded from ancestry. They showed up as duplicates to someone that had no kinship to Johnson-3766 . I was told I should post this

Jenny, the url you paste above goes tonthenupload photo screen. You then need to click on the button for finding the photo on your computer. Then navigate to the place on your computer where the file is stored. Select it then upload.

All that said, we should not be uploading images downloaded from ancestry.com. Ancestry.com's usage agreement disallows the copying of its digital images to other commercial sites. Wikitree, while free, is still a cmmercial site.

Thank you for your answer. The certificates were uploaded by an individual, not by ancestry. I have up loaded documents that were individuals documents and requested their permission and have been given permission by the person.

The upload came up as as a jpn file instead of a jpg file. Wikitree thinks the document is a duplicate with an individual that the only relationship is I am a profile manager for both.
