These are the names on my maternal side, and when she passed in 2010, I lost the information, and now I am doing her side of the tree by memory. I appreciate all the help I get here, and everyone is most helpful. Thank you ahead of time.

I added link to: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cosgrove-423 Kate (Cosgrove) Holley for findagrave.com & removed {{Unsourced Profile}} from her Profile. I'll look for more on your Maternal side :)

I have over 100 Perry in my data base. I have 8 Callahan, I have 5 Callaghan. None of them have been entered in WikiTree yet because I just started a few weeks ago. Give me a name and I might have it.

Wally
Susie Perry, Ella Mae Callahan are the only ones I know about, I know there is more.
I have distant relatives in Callaghan not Callahan if it is

any help with similarities
My mother's maiden name is Sargent. My father's side is MacDonald. I am only starting to do the research now so I don't know much beyond immediate relatives, but if I can help anyone, I would be happy to do so. Good luck, everyone!

I have Sargents in my line -- believed to go back to Plantagenet.  I used the relationship finder and see that we are 17th cousins once removed:

I have indeed, but not from the US. Most of my research is UK only. Primarily from the South West of the country, although in recent generations have spread out to all UK.

I am a Perry. My paternal side is Perry. These Perry's came to Missouri between 1850 and 1860. My branch stayed but some went on to Oklahoma from 1890 to 1910. Before Missouri they came from Indiana and before that Tennessee.  I haven't gotten any further than that.

I am a Sargent, descended from the Sargents in Dublin.  I also have Hallahan ( though not Callahan) among my ancestors.

Please see my comment above, as it was meant to be an answer. I do have Sargent heritage. The other names have not come up yet, but I have not completed all lines yet. Sargents are from England and go back to early royalty. My DNA confirms the likelihood of that relationship -- at least possibility. I am largely Danish and Scandinavian. As mentioned above, I would love to discuss our family relationship further.   -- Helen

Thank you Helen, by the looks of it all is pointed to my fathers side of the family. There are Sargent's on both sides of the family but not related. I am still on the quest of finding my mothers side of the tree. I would still like to connect and discuss the family further with you. Thank you again.

Thank you, Rebecca. I will look forward to it.

Helen, does your line by chance include Timothy Sargent, married to Anne Nancy Horton? I ask because I have been searching for my father's ancestry, and have been able to track it back to an Aquila Chase (b. 1618), married to Anne Wheeler, both from England. This same bloodline is directly connected to Timothy Sargent.

Here is my direct bloodline traced from Aquila Chase to present:
Aquila Chase (b. 1618, England; d. 27 Dec 1670, MA; m. Anne Wheeler)
Daniel Chase (b. 16 Nov 1661, MA; d. 8 Feb 1718, MA; m. Martha Kimball)
Enoch Chase (b. 1704, MA; d. 22 Apr 1744; m. Judith Colby)
Dorothy Chase (b. 8 Aug 1729, MA; d. ?; m. Timothy Sargent)
Timothy Sargent (b. bet. 1749-51, MA; d. 1827, NY; m. Anne N. Horton)
Alice Sargent (b. 21 Oct 1773, MA; d. 1860-65, NY; m. Solomon Chase, Jr.)
George Willard Chase (b. 1794-95, NY; d. ?; m. Harriet Hudson)
George Washington Chase (b. 1 Feb 1828, NY; d. 12 Dec 1907; m. Christiana Patten)
Franklin Eugene Chase, Sr. (b. 1 May 1856, IL; d. 1935, IA; m. Mary A Maxwell)
Amos Adelbert Chase (b. 3 Mar 1877, IL; d. 3 Jun 1949, IA; m. Mabel Claire Henry)
Kenneth Leroy Chase (b. 10 Aug 1911, IA; d. 25 Feb 1973, IL; m. Mary Margaret Cecil)
Steven Michael Chase (b. 19 Sep 1954,IL; LIVING; m. Barbara Annette Lisenbee)
Jennifer Dawn Chase (b. 16 Mar 1976, KY; LIVING; m. Thomas Aaron Crunkleton) - ME; I have three children (living, 21 and under; unmarried)

Counting from my children to Aquila Chase, that is 13 generations.
I believe your line MAY connect to ours somewhere. If you would like the full information, let me know. I will be happy to share the source with you.
HI Jennifer!  So nice to meet you!  I would love to research our Sargent relationship further. Please see the note I sent privately.

I have all three names in my family tree. My recent ancestors are from TN/NC/SC, mostly descended from families in Virginia.  I have done a lot of work on Callahans in SC and NC.  I have much less information about the names you mentioned in TN.

The best way to connect where you are now, is to look in familysearch.  Once you get back to about the Civil War or a little further, you will find most of your ancestors may already be here.

Another option is to take where you are stuck and ask for specific help in g2g genealogy help. Include dates, places and any relationships you have.  There are some great researchers here that can help you.

I am a Perry. I have traced my fathers branch to Hamilton Illinois. The census records state he was born in N.C. about 1805. His mothers name was Celie, I only know this because she lived with him in Ill.
