I just started a MOOC (Massive Open Online Class) through FutureLearn: Genealogy: Researching Your Family Tree. I've tried online classes before, through Coursera, and been disappointed, but I'm really loving the way this class is set up.
The class is taught by Tahitia McCabe, who is an American now living in Scotland, where she teaches genealogy at the University of Strathclyde. She is also a course leader for the University of Strathclyde's MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies, which is also an online program.
Since the program just started, I think it's not too late to join. Also, I'm not the only WikiTreer in the class. I've already encountered at least three, two of whom are in my study group of 30 students, so there could actually be many more.
What are you waiting for? Come join in the fun!
