Have you seen the category for special historical "Events"

+7 votes

A new top level category page has been setup. See  Events

Special historical events of note. Designed to be a collection of interesting pages. Can you add your ancestor to one of these pages? When you tell your family history, what story comes to mind. Is there a category page?

To link a category page to this page, add [[Category:Events]] to an existing category page.

To link your ancestor to a category page see Using Categories

Fun! I added Category:King_Philips_War for folks to link their veterans of this war.

Thanks Jillaine,

I noticed we have 2 pages for King Philips War. I will combine them both into one. A lot of nice info on both. Note the "  '  "

Merging King Philips War into King Philip's War

Wow, I looked for an existing one, but didn't find it. Sorry. BTW, I intentionally left out the apostrophe. While not grammatically correct to exclude it, its use in a category name is messy and makes it a bit more difficult for people to use.
Oooh... thanks, Michael, for the scrolling window format for the long lists. I didn't know how to do that. Sweet. I was thinking of moving the roster lists to a different page, which I still might do; even with the scrollable windows, this much narrative pushes the links to the categorized pages way far down. Thanks again.
All the data is now in One scrollable window.  Looks better.
