Hi,

My mom was the daughter of Bridget O'Neill. My grandmother was born and raised on Heir Island until she went to Boston with my grandfather, John Brosnan (Brosnahan) and got married there. They had two daughters, my mother Joan and my aunt Carol. Any information on my grandmother's branch of the O'Neills is greatly appreciated! I am getting married in November and my fiance and I are both changing our surnames to O'Neill to honor my mom who has recently passed away. We want to do a handfasting with the proper tartan colors but I am having a hard time with it; it seems like there are four different color patterns for O'Neill. Help please!

Also, I would love to be in touch with any of you! I am not biologically related to my mom, but my cousin is and I'm sure he would be interested in finding relatives! I know I am.

Thank you all!
