The identity and ancestry of my GG grandmother Hannah (Ames) Smith

My great great grandmother was Hannah (Ames) Smith [[Ames-1175]]. I've calculated her birth date of May 8, 1797 based on the age given at death that appears on her tombstone. Her entry in the 1850 census (the only one she appears in in her own name) gives her birthplace as Vermont. I do not know when or where she married my GG grandfather, [[Smith-70571]] David Smith, and she was probably his second or more likely his third wife. The first child they had that I can verify she was the mother of was Reason H. Smith, David's 6th child (of 10). Reason was born in 1821 in Wooster Township, Wayne Co., Ohio. I do not know where Hannah may have met or married my GG grandfather; up until 1814 he was in Trenton, Oneida County, New York but he had strong ties with Dutchess County, New York (Amenia and North East). He had moved to Ohio in 1808, but after the death of his first wife in 1810 he had returned east. All my searches of AMES/EAMES families in Vermont in the period 1780 - 1800 have yielded no Hannah or Anna of the right age.
