Looking for death/burial information for Arthur (J?) Tozer, b. 1884. [closed]

Arthur Tozer usually shows up as Arthur J. Tozer or Arthur W. Tozer. He was born in 15 August 1884, possibly in Queens, NY, son of Arthur C. Tozer (b. 1868). Mother is likely Elizabeth Wilson.

Arthur was the second husband of Agnes Jane Cavanagh, nee Armstrong, b. 18 January 1882 in Wellington, Ontario, Canada. Agnes and Arthur agreed to meet in Buffalo, NY and were married in 1907 at Grace Methodist Church on Michigan St in Buffalo. In addition to Agnes' son from her first marriage, Richard Cavanagh (b. 1901), Arthur and Agnes had two more children: William (b. 1910) and Robert (b. 1917). For the most part, Richard took Arthur's last name after Agnes and Arthur married, but may not have been legally adopted by Arthur.

All this is background. My actual question is, can anyone assist me with information on Arthur's death? Family lore has it that he was killed in a car accident on Hertel Ave in Buffalo, NY, in the 1930s. Everyone who would have had first-hand knowledge of this incident have long since died, and very few records for New York State (especially upstate NY) are available online. I don't know the exact date, nor do I know where he was buried. I do know he is NOT buried with Agnes; some time after Arthur's death, she returned to Ontario and was buried in the same cemetery as many of her birth family, in 1958.

I did not find his death information, but his middle name looks to be John.

True, and I had found that. However, my dad also has a suitcase of Agnes' old papers and photos, and inside I found the program from their wedding service. Everything else matches up, but Arthur signed it "A. Wilson Tozer". (And Agnes signed herself as "Jane" -- makes me wonder if she was actually divorced or not! Everything in the suitcase has her as "Agnes" or "Aggie".) Arthur also shows up in the 1910 census as Arthur W. Tozer, but the 1920 has him down as Arthur J. Tozer.

It really is kind of crazy!

Just an update: I was able to stop in the Buffalo public library over Thanksgiving weekend, and found an exact date for Arthur's death. There was also a small newspaper clipping stating he had been found unconscious near a street corner; uncertain whether he had become dizzy or passed out and slipped, or if he was the victim of a hit-and-run driver. (Family lore indicates the latter.)

Now that I have a date and a certificate number, I can actually request his death certificate!
