In 1860 and 1870 in Fannin County, Texas there were several McDonald families but one woman in particular has me stumped. Margaret McDonald was living with A John W. McDonald married a Mary McDonald in Fannin County, Texas. in 1860-1870 and she was born in 1780 or 1790 in either North Carolina or Georgia. I have yet to figure out how this woman is related to all the other McDonalds in my tree. I think she was living in Shannon County, Missouri in 1850 and she was listing as being 47 years old, which is 3 years off at least. Perhaps she was the wife of my gr-gr-gr grandfather, who I suspect was a William McDonald, son of William McDonald and Elizabeth Sadler who married in 1789 in Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina.
