Tynemouth Parish church bishops transcripts

With regard to Bishops transcripts of Tynemouth Parish Church, I had it pointed out to me the burial of Mary Wood (Wood-12156) was on 26 October 1837 at age 72 [image 317 0f 694 in 1835-1841 section of Tynemouth BT’s] and that she should have been born c1765. She is described as widow of Henry Salkeld on the burial record, and I don't know if there's a burial for Henry (Salkeld-87)...

Is there a way to look for BT's on Ancestry, or what is the best way to look at them / search online?

Also noted on Genuki (http://www.genuki.bpears.org.uk/NBL/Tynemouth/ChurchRecords.html) that Tynemouth Marriage indexs between 1755-1812 are missing. Does anyone know if these are available elsewhere online?

Thanks!

The best place to look for BTs is on familysearch. Tynemouth falls in the Northumberland grouping under Durham Diocese:

Thanks for the heads up about the Familysearch link Re: looking for BT's. While not nearly as easy to find information directly (No indexes) there is much more info than Genuki Indexes provide.

I'm still trying to gather info from them, with some success, but also issues. By flipping pages and reading the entries as I go, you see Henry Salkeld of Lowlights, labourer, died May 2 1808, buried 6 May 1808, aged 44 years. (Tynemouth Bishops transcripts page 618 of 835). By math, (if my math is right) would place his birth between May 3rd 1763 and May 2nd 1764. If I go back to the bishops transcripts for those years for baptisms there's a jump in the dates from the 29 Dec 1762 and 1 June 1769 (between pages 7 and 10 of 835 pages) right where I would like to look. Is there anywhere else to look for these missing pages (hopefully online)?
I am not aware of any other online images of the BTs. A couple of things to consider:

1. Sometimes pages in the BT can get out of sequence, so browse a bit further either side of where you would expect to see the dates.

2. The BT was a quarterly handwritten copy of the register so pages could easily have been missed if the copier got distracted. You need to check the actual parish register if there is something missing or illogical in the BT. You can contact either Northumberland Archives at Woodhorn Museum or Tyne & Wear Archives Services at the Discovery Museum and ask them to do a search for you. The records are held on microfilm and you can buy a copy of the actual entry if required.

I will be at Woodhorn myself in the not too distant future, but not sure exactly when. If you don't make any progress or nobody else can help you send me a reminder in September and I can do a look up for you.
Thanks for all the info and the offer! Much appreciated. I wish I was close enough that I could make a trip! I've noticed a few other missing areas too in recent readings of other BT's.

There are a few other things I would like to find, but I'm not sure where to find them. It looks like Henry and Mary died in Tynemouth, but were married and had the first of 3 children in Boldon. I think it should still be under Durham area (either Boldon, West Boldon or St Nicholas) for the time frames 1762-65 and 1788-91. I can't seem to find the location of that BT at all though. I believe there should be one from 1573-1970. Is this one just missing entirely from Familysearch or am I not looking in the right place?
After a little further looking it appears that the Boldon baptims & burials haven't been indexed, but the marriages were (Genuki). As far as Familysearch goes though, the register is on film only (not digitized / online) Looks like they are discontinuing the loan of film soon too... (Sept 2017) but plan that it all could be online by 2020.
