RootsMagic Essentials version (free) or the paid registered version are both available for Mac and Windows computers. RootsMagic can directly open all PAF files. Once the PAF data is in a new RM file, a GEDCOM file of the data can be exported. The RootsMagic website has informational pages, videos and webinars on how to deal with importing the PAF files, dealing with creating new databases, and creating / exporting a GEDCOM from the database. It's actually quite easy to do.
