Thank you for replying. I have been frustrated over this for several months. I can not find Martha Mary Hall in Georgia after 1860. To add to the confusion, Martha Mary Hall is listed in the 1860 census in the home of R.A. Hall [father] with Lavonia but no mention is made of Ira or William Richard, her sons.
The home of R.A. Hall, in Cuthbert, stayed in family possession until Idus Rhodes' death in 1975. Idus was Ira Rhodes' eldest son. Ira appears to be "Head of Household", in the 1880 census...with no mention of Martha Mary or William. The death certificate posts Ira's parents as Martha Mary Hall and William P. Rhodes. Ira's brother W.R. Rhodes lists no mother nd father on his death certificate. So, there is no lead.
There is a William Peyton Rhodes in Georgia, but in 1850, 60, and 1870 census records he is living on the other side of the state with his family. Again there seems to be no connection as Richmond GA., is 200 miles from Cuthbert. It is a frustrating/confusing situation as the family occupied the property in Cithbert, GA for 150 years.
Thank you gin for your time and assistance, it was thoughtful and it is appreciated.
