I got a private message forwarded to my email inbox.  I'm trying to respond but get an error message saying the email address (senders) is invalid.  Is there another way to respond?

Yes, on the botton of the email it should say what the profile is of the person who sent the email,, click on it and then click on "send private message after the Profile Manager's name. Note: sometimes it lists the email right there as well on the botton of the message..,

I'm not sure that is possible. Here is the message I got (minus personal information):

The following was sent via the private messaging system on WikiTree.com.

The sender, herbert s pat...r (nan...@cox.net), was not logged-in to WikiTree. If the message looks like bulk e-mail spam, please forward it to info@wikitree.com right away.

The sender was on this profile page when they sent the message: http://www.WikiTree.com/wiki/Gaylor-75

If herbert s patt...n jr is a family member add them to WikiTree. If they're a friend or fellow genealogist add them as an unrelated person.

I'm wondering that if this person wasn't logged on then I can't respond?

humm, you should still be able to send them an email to that address. Only problem is that they will be able to see your address as well when they get your email.

See if he was logged in to WikiTree then you could send it through the WikiTree system through his profile page (which is missing) and your private email address would not show. That is how I understand it.

**Anyone else out there have some feedback for us???????

Mary Ann --

It may be that this individual is not a member of WikiTree. If they are, you should be able to use the Search boxes at the top of your WikiTree screen to search for him.

Otherwise, like Dorothy said, you'll just have to send an email using the link in the message.
