I have over 300 Bell in my database, most of them were from Quebec and Prince Edward Island (Formerly Ile St.Jean). The earliest I have is Walter Bell b: 1807 Scotland. He died 2 April 1906 Cape Traverse. I have his parents without dates, John & Elizabeth Jane Little.

You mentioned the name Girouard, I have about 250 of them in my database most of them are from Acadia, New Brunswick, Quebec and Louisiana. Many of the ones that I have were Acadians and were rounded up by the English and deported to Concentration camps in England or to St, Malo France where they later sailed to Louisiana.
