Can I only import certain names from gedcom report

Question

Hi

I'm reviewing my gedcom report. Is there a way to only import some of the names. There are too many surnames that aren't related to me. Not sure this is possible. If I put a check mark next to name, will that eliminate that name from importing.

Is there a way to upload sources when downloading a gedcom. I have them for my trees, but I don't see them when the tree is downloaded.

Yes there is a SKIP check box when uploading...

I checked your gedcom and I think it's better that you create profiles manually. The report says it has no sources. As all WikiTree profiles should have sources its a poisend gift to WikiTree. To add sources to 110 profiles will take some years,,,,

"The raw GEDCOM is 28272 bytes. It contains 110 individuals with the earliest person born 1621. It doesn't include any sources."

In WikiTree when doing genealogy we have in our WikiTree Honor Code that all WikiTree profiles should cite sources so that we understand if two profiles are the same... 

We strongly encourage new members to begin by manually entering a small number of people from their family before importing a GEDCOM. This is the best way to get a better understanding of WikiTree.

If you upload a GEDCOM please also have sources. Too many people have uploaded profiles without sources and that makes it impossible to work together....
