The (probably) well-known book by Prof. Rupp is available online and also an Index to the 30000 names.

A collection of upwards of thirty thousand names of German, Swiss, Dutch, French and other immigrants in Pennsylvania from 1727 to 1776 : with a statement of the names of ships, whence they sailed, and the date of their arrival at Philadelphia, chronologically arranged, together with the necessary historical and other notes, also, an appendix containing lists of more than one thousand German and French names in New York prior to 1712

Thanks! This is a good resource.

Note that the index to names is a bit tricky to use. The page number next to the person's name is the page on which the ship's name first appears, which often is not the page where the person's name appears. For example, I found that one possible ancestor of mine is indexed to page 109 of the book. The description of his ship starts on the bottom of page 109, but the list of passengers is on page 110.
Thanks Ellen, for noting the trickyness of the index. I just discovered this resource, did not use it myself yet.
Thanks for sharing this great resource Jan.

Jan, could you please add the tags pennsylvania and immigrants and german to your question, so it will show up in topical searches of G2G?

Yes, this page lists six of them. The numbers refer to the pages in the book.
