XVI should be in suffix.

3.) Prefered name: Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn

I think this should be split like this.

  • Prefix:Prince
  • First name: Arthur
  • Prefered name: Arthur
  • Otner nicknames:Duke of Connaught and Strathearn

NO according to the European Aristocrat project naming guidelines nominals (the XVI) does belong in the preferred name.  Can you please have a look at the Name Fields link above.

These naming standards have been long discussed and in place for a few years now, changing them because they appear in the errors database would be really really ...;..

Please agree

For me it feels more correct to have the Prince title in the Suffix....

A lot of errors are reported see error report for Bernadotte-24

I've only had a quick look at the error report, but most of them look like they aren't errors.  They confirm to the Euro Aristo naming guidelines.

Maybe before some of these errors are reported, there needs to be more discussion with project leaders.

I believe they were discussed, but a few month ago name formatting changed so you get name like this:

  • Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Zähringen
  • Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig (Friedrich I) "Grand Duke of Baden" Zähringen

Example: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Z%C3%A4hringen-7

This makes confusion, since in links you can't see if it is Friedrich I, II or III.

With I in suffix it would look nicer

  • Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Zähringen I
  • Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig "Grand Duke of Baden" Zähringen I or 1st

Example: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cole-333

So maybe you should discuss it again. This are my thoughts from user point of view. I don't know much about aristocracy.

@Aleš
Does Chris have a change log of what he is doing with WikiTree?
