Cleaning up the DB_Errors on in my family and right now the most prevelant error (that I can't fix) is [109 Profile should be open (birth date)]

Is there a process for fixing these?

First step is to contact profile manager. If he manages multiple profiles that needs to be opened, send him only one message and list all profiles.

Main instructions on error are here http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_109

Don't get too anxious to fix such errors immediately.  Read the details of the process in help files and then read them again making notes.  Do the first step of contacting the PM of record and wait a month (or whatever time it is) Then file a request to open if nothing happens and then wait another month, which I believe may automatically open the file if the profile person is deceased, but if they're alive you may have to contact a leader  get what you want done.  The point is that it's time consuming, but will eventually get done if you keep at it, So there's no use getting angry and threatening to leave WikiTree, for instance.  There are reasons, including privacy concerns and people who out of town which have to be weighed against completing changes quickly.

The "errors" are not my family or names I am chasing, nothing need to be corrected or changed (other than opened),  I do not plan to do anything about it, there just errors that are going to be counted, that are not a real problem right now.

You need to follow the instructions on the db_errors page as Aleš posted above. If you have contacted the profile manager and received no answer within a reasonable period of time, then you need to file an Open Profile Request. You will only do this if you are absolutely certain the person was born more than 200 years ago, that is as of now before 1816. This request will go to Paul Bech who handles the open profile procedure. It usually takes only a few days depending on how busy he is.
