Information about film pioneer Henry Howes

I'm looking for information about Henry Howes, a pioneer of early film in Great Britain who also spent some years in South Africa.  He shot many of the earliest films of the Salvation Army in England and Palestine and worked for African Film Productions between 1916 and 1918.  He would have been born around 1870 and probably had a son William Henry, born round about 1895.  I'd like to create an entry for him on ESAT, an online Encyclopaedia of South African Theatre, Film, Media & Performance.

I can be contacted at ogterop@telkomsa.net.
