How do I un-adopt an orphaned profile?

Question

I was looking at some orphaned profiles,and by mistake, adopted a pre-1700 profile. Since I don't have pre-1700s certification, I really can't work on this record.

I have done the same but adopted a whole list.

How do I un-adopt multiple people, please?

Hi Graham,

I assume you want to remove yourself as profile manager from some of the Crisford profiles you have adopted. It would be best to do this one profile at a time as described by Patricia Roche.

HOWEVER there is an option (also found under the privacy Tab) for Bulk Profile Managers Changes Tool  (top line: To remove yourself Click Here)

HOWEVER when you click, it will bring up your entire Watchlist and then you need to put a tick in the box next to the profile you want to 'orphan'.  You will remain on the trusted list but you will no longer be the profile manager.

USE WITH GREAT CARE because you need to be sure (know exactly) which profiles you want to 'orphan'

Click on "Privacy" tab on that profile and the new page will have a "Remove yourself" option near the bottom of screen
