I can't find any of my great grandfather's (Carl George Schmidt) family.

Question

My Great Grandfather is Carl George Schmidt. He was born in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio on December 11, 1893, and died on January 18, 1971, in Colorado. He was married to Hazel Mary McDonald. Two children, Georgia Hazel, and Bobbie Lee. This is the only great-grandparent I have left on my tree that I have no information for. I use Family Search as well as Ancestry and thus far nothing has come up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The second one might be him. I know in his older years he was referred to as Carl, but it is possible that he was George in his early life. Thank you

This may or may not apply to your Schmidt family.

abut forty percent of the town of Ladbergen (Germany) migrated through Cincinnati  in the late 19th century to Shelby and Auglaize counties, Ohio. 

My wife's family (Schmidt)  was among them. I've not found that August in her family, but there's always a chance.

1910 Census,living in Cincinatti,Ward 13,Hamilton Ohio,says Carl Schmidt

was born in Indiana.His father Frank W Schmidt,mother Anna M. Schmidt.

On Ancestry.com ,pick U.S census records,scrolldown to ,1910 click

on that to search for it.
