There are three Bennett E Tobias in the Tobias line as I know it to date.
Bennett E Tobias born Abt 1799, I believe fathered by James Tobias, born 10 Jan 1760, Oblong,York,New York by John Tobias Walport/Walpot, born Abt 1733 also Connecticut. If you are not familiar with the Oblong area, it was a no man area between Connecticut and New York, adjacent to the Poughkeepsie, New York Area.
Bennett E Tobias (2) was fathered by the above Bennett Abt 1847,Bath,N.Y.
Bennett E no. (3) was fathered by a Julius Tobias, Abt 1842 Grove,Allegany,N.Y. Dont know Julius' father to date. He claims in many Census' born 1797,Connecticut. I believe his father to be John Tobias Walport/Walpot, and brother to the First Bennett E. Just compare census records and they both named their children the same. His wife was Elizabeth French. Also Asa' wife was a french along with his oldest son. Just have to prove it. Contact me anytime.
