Thanks for your answers,  the date 1812 does not align with  the Canadian Census of 1861  Tudor & Lake, or census of 1871 South Bruce Ontario Canada.

Her son Samuel Robert Kingyens was born in England 10 Jan 1846 &

died in Detlor, Ontario Canada 1915

There's something wrong here. I can't find any trace of Samuel's birth and it would have been registered by law. I can't find his father or his family in the 1851 census either and I'm usually successful in getting past misspellings and bad transcriptions. Even the Sarah Waddington identified by others is probably wrong.

Well that makes his date of birth 10 June 1846, not 10 January ... I'll have another look...
Thanks so much.

I just checked the 1841 census, and the family is not listed. There is a George in Lincolnshire, with his family, but the wife is wrong and there is no sarah:

Piece: HO107/638/0 Place: Part Lindsey -Lincolnshire Enumeration District: 2
Civil Parish: Kettlethorpe Ecclesiastical Parish: Kettlethorpe
Folio: 2 Page: 8
Address: -

WADDINGTON   George   M   55   Farmer    Lincolnshire
WADDINGTON   Martha   F   45       Outside Census County (1841)
    WADDINGTON   Harriott   F   20       Lincolnshire

Sarah was born and Christened in Padiham, Lancashire in 1812 rather than 1821. ( https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NBX1-MB2 ).

Images for both the parish register and the Bishops Transcripts are on Ancestry,

She was born on 25th August that year and baptised on 4th October. Her father was a banksman.  The original parish register is not that clear and the name of her mother is smudged.  It could be Jane or Jene (def no y)  The bishops transcript is clearly Jenny

But this Sarah Waddington is almost certainly the one who married John Kelly in 1834 in Padiham.

"England Marriages, 1538–1973 ," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N63L-2PF : 10 December 2014), John Kelly and Sarah Waddington, 1834; citing Padiham, Lancashire, England, reference 2:3J2H2RK; FHL microfilm 1,040,343

They are easily locatable in the 1851 census with a brood of kids, none of which fit. Therefore I do not think this identification is correct.

There are no British Kingyens births or deaths recorded in the entire databases of both FreeBMD and findmypast.

FindMyPast does have precisely one marriage: a Lorne Kingyens (probably a Canadian) marrying Pearl and them both sailing off to Canada, plus student Emily in Glasgow on the electoral record in 2014. That's the entire record of Kingyens in Britain over the last 200 years.

Unless the Canadian Kingyens were simply lying about their origins (seems unlikely) they must have changed their name on emigration to Canada. If it were just a spelling issue I'd be able to find some references to them. Were they involved in some feud or political conflict that would lead to a name change?

Lorne B. Kingyens, born  18 Aug 1939

His father,  Claude Gerald Kingyens born 30 Jan 1901 Ontario  Canada.
Do you have any documentary proof of the Kingyens in Britain (or anywhere else) before Canada? I've helped many people, as well as my own research, and never drawn a complete blank like this before. It's very suspicious.
Just to add to above comment, I've also drawn a complete blank . I've tried the broadest  of searches from English sources with all sorts of names/soundexes etc.

There are many possibilities from , from  King to Kenyan to Kingan to Keen but even with wildcard searching none marries a Waddington. . There aren't many Ketchesons in England either

There are some more similar names on Family Search when you don't put in a country but not yet found one outside the Canadian sources  that links  with a Sarah Waddington

John Ketcheson Kingyens mentioned in the record of son Robert Samuel Kingyens,  Wife, Sarah Waddington

Event type, death  date 27 July 1915,  Place: Dungannon Township,

Hastings County, Ontario Canada

AGE 69,  Birthplace  England, birth year 1846

Father's name:  John Ketcheson Kingyens

Mother:  Sarah Waddington
