Hi Michelle

Can you give us some more information? I assume you are looking for ancestors? A question and a profile ID and/or whatever details you are aware of would be necessary for any of us to know where to look for answers for you.

Hans Hansen is much like the Scandinavian equivalent of John Smith.

Thank you for answering but a bit of a dig around gave me quite a few answers. It seems quite a few relatives I didn't know about have done family trees on my Hans Hansen.

Thank you anyway!

Thanks Susan but no not my one. This Hans appears to be a miner in Fryerstown (?) and came on the ship Notre Dame but my was a gardener from Caufield who came on the Stonehill but thank for taking the time to search and post. Much appreciated!
There is more info. Here is his son, going to war. He is mentioned. http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/ViewImage.aspx?B=4245017
