George Washington Zimmerman was possibly born in Cleveland, OH on January 5, 1911 possibly to a George and Catherine Zimmerman. Adoptive family believes he may have spent some time with bio-aunts in Georgia before being placed in an orphanage (possibly in Cleveland, OH). He was adopted out of the orphanage and is listed with his new parents Brady L.and Grace (Adams) McFadden in the 1920 US census and is listed as 9 years old in that census -- Rushcreek, Logan Co., OH.
