John Keller, born 1847 Cincinnati, Ohio- any connections?

I have been researching my John Keller with little to no headway for a couple of years. He was married to Annie Kelley (born 1848) in Cincinnati, Ohio and had a daughter Mary Keller. Mary married John M. Dillon in 1897 in Cincinnati or Hamilton (Butler Co.) Ohio. Mary (Keller) Dillon is my connection. Unfortunately John and Annie are very generic names and it does not appear that they resided long in the  Hamilton County or Butler County area. I have not been able to trace their history or movement and wanted to see if anyone else may have a familial connection.

Thanks for your help!

My Keller brick wall is my grandfather Albert Keller who was born May 1876 in either Butler Co. Ohio or Fayette Co. Indiana. I have been searching for his parents for many, many years. Supposedly he was raised by his aunt and uncle (I have no proof these people were really an aunt or uncle) Fred Keller born Germany and Anna nee Emmert born Butler Co. Ohio. I find it curious that you cannot find anything on your Keller from this area and I cannot find anything on my Keller. If you would like to communitate with me on this, I would be glad to do so too. Thank you, Mary Jo Keller Sams

Dear Melissa,

It may be that John & Annie (Kelley) Keller had other children.  Check this out, a possible daughter Anna Marie:

"Ohio, County Marriages, 1789-2013," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XDKB-WMD : 8 December 2014), John Keller in entry for Chas E Christian and Anna Marie Keller, 04 Jun 1908; citing Stark, Ohio, United States, reference p 559; county courthouses, Ohio; FHL microfilm 875,630.

Also, your Mary's death record says both her parents were born in Ohio.  That is long after the fact, however!

"Ohio Deaths, 1908-1953," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X82R-1LH : 8 December 2014), John Keller in entry for Mary Dillon, 01 Jan 1920; citing Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio, reference fn 2688; FHL microfilm 1,984,987.

Hope this helps!  -NGP
