This question is for my birth mother(deceased) Fern Zaiontz(nee Kipp). Who is my father?

I was born on October 4, 1939 in Denver Colorado. The name on my birth certificate is John Doe Kipp. Further investigation shows that my mothers name is Fern B. Kipp. Fern had 3 children out of wedlock(Clifford Kennie, Ida Kipp Garcia, and Lannie Hill). Clifford and Lannie(me) were adopted but Ida was not. Fern later gave birth to Jeanie and Fritzi Zaiontz. I am unable to find any record of Fern's marriage to Clement Zaiontz(Jeanie and Fritzi's

father). Here is the burning question. Were Clement Zaiontz and Fern Kipp ever legally married? The reason behind the question is that I suspect Clement may be my father. Can any WikiTree person help me find this marriage record? Thank you in advance.

    Lannie,

Try googling free archived newspapers for San Antonio, Texas in 1966.

I came up with several "hits" but did not try to go further.  You  can also use some of the paid ads for those papers if you consider it is worth your investment.  I think there are three of those.  There may be an obituary somewhere.  Good luck.

    Dear Lannie,

This might be the listing for your mother in the 1940 census:

"United States Census, 1940," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VRDR-D56 : accessed 31 August 2016), Fern Kipp, Tract 17, Denver, Election District T, Denver, Colorado, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 16-231, sheet 815A, family 10, Sixteenth Census of the United States, 1940, NARA digital publication T627. Records of the Bureau of the Census, 1790 - 2007, RG 29. Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2012, roll 491.

Thank you. I have Fern Kipp both living in Denver in the '40s. The one thing I can't find is any record of them being legally married. If they were married it would probably happened in Colorado, Texas, or a state bordering Colorado.
