WILLIAM SOLOMON PARKER b.1770 d. est.d. 1830 LAKE TOXAWAY, N.C married 2nd  to Elizabeth Massengale b. 1796 d.1850  and it looks like Elizabeth Massengale's b.1796 father was Henry Massengale b. 1765  and mother Lucy Temple, and  Henry Massengale's b.1765 his  father was George Massengale  b.1740 married Amelia ,  now for Lucy Temple side is Grandfather David Temple 1750 Prince  George, Virginia had a son David that was the father of Lucy Temple , SO MY ? Is was William Solomon Parker b.1770 married to Elizabeth Massengale b.1796 I need all this information put together and just didn't know if anyone has these names in a tree and if they do Please help me get this information in line so I can add it , Thanks

I believe folks have several William Parker's mixed up. My research indicates that this William was married to Elizabeth Smith, daughter of William Smith of Union Co., SC about 1790. As far as I can tell she was his only wife. This couple is on the 1790 and 1800 censuses in Spartanburg District, SC, and then moved to Buncombe Co., NC by 1810 and are on the 1830 census in Haywood Co, NC. They are shown on the 1840 census in the newly formed Henderson Co.    There are deeds showing William and Elizabeth selling their Spartanburg District, SC land in 1802 and Elizabeth is called "wife of William Parker" in her father's will. I am a descendant of this couple and have dna matches with several descendants  of William Smith's (Elizabeth's fathert) family and also with descendants of children of William and Elizabeth Smith Parker.  In 40 years no one has ever offered any proof that William Parker was married to a Martha Pleasant Anderson, or that she even existed.  I also believe that William and Elizabeth Smith Parkers' son was William S. Parker, (probably named "William Smith Parker")  because it seems strange to me that they would name two boys "Soloman."   Soloman is my direct ancestor.

If you look my set came from Transylvania County, North Carolina this is Hendersonville area,  Spartanburg County, is up  interstate 85, Transylvania is up Hwy 25, but I'm going to try and get my set straight,  Thanks sorry we will get it straight

The more I look at it and I have giving time for others to answer I'm not going to remove Elizabeth Massengale but I'm going to add and Follow with my line in the direction of Elizabeth Smith in the near future [[Parker17007]] and [[Smith-64357]] the DNA points me in this direction I sure wish others would speak up if they are certain that Elizabeth Massengale was ever even married to our Grandfather Find A  Grave Memorial list this but future research is on the way , Thanks
