Gus Baker, was involved in a shooting in Leslie County Kentucky in 1937. Does anyone have any information on that?

Those involved were Wilson Baker, Gus Baker, (my grandfather) who was shot and James (Jim) Howard who was killed.  From my understanding, it occured either in Wooten or Coon Creek in Leslie County.

You might get help from the Leslie County Library, 22065 Main St.  POBOX 498, Hyden KY  PHONE 6066722460.  iT WOULD HAVE OLD NEWSPAPER FILES.
Thanks... I have  been emailing with them to see if they have anything.

Yes, my understanding is that the Baker Howard fued you are referring to was in a neighboring county.  Not directly related, but distant cousins.  I am searching to see what the connections are between the Bakers and Howards in each county.
