O I'm a bit late here, Pizzaman decided to paste some large very sticky stickers on our windows so had to try and get them of again...which of course wasn't as easy as I thought , so cleaning windows here now :P LOL ...so will be back   :)
Ahahahaa! Bad boy!

Congrats so far! What a great result at day one. Pieter's profile ain't unsourced (I deleted the category) anymore and we know now his birthyear, the right dates of his marriages and his deathdate. :D Let's move on!

Thank you all so much so far. Bedtime...............

Well the Monster challenge time is over. :)

Obvious there is still a lot to do. It still will take weeks to add the other family members but we did GREAT work on the ancestors!

http://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Monster-Descendants-128 and http://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Monster-Descendants-43

We were able to add many profiles with sources to the Monsters already.

Thank you all for your support to find the right/good sources for Pieter Janszoon Monster. Especially the great found of Rob Ton, the genealogy site of the Hoeksche Waard with the transcriptions of the doopboeken and het rechterlijk archief made it possible to find a lot back on the anchestors of Pieter.

There for it s an honor for Bea and me to reward Rob Ton for the second time! with the winner badge of  the Dutch_Roots_Challenge, but this time of October 2016!!! Congrats Rob! :D

We will not organize a Dutch_Roots_Challenge in October/Er wordt geen Dutch_Roots_Challenge georganiseerd in oktober. Instead we encourage you all to join/In plaats daarvan hopen we dat iedereen massaal deelneemt aan:  Source a Thon.

Thank you all! Keep the good work up!

Kind regards,

Bea Wijma and Astrid Spaargaren

Thanks everyone for the great help and Astrid ..girl you have done a marvelous and absolutely amazing job sourcing, improving so many and adding some of the still missing members of these families !

Now we will get them all connected in no time again, Peter has done great as well and prepared for the challenge by searching and collecting abt 300 sources for the family and with a few branches explained,, you can find it all here So anyone if you want to work on something different for a change and have some time feel free to add and improve some of the Monster profiles, they still need your help !

Now we're indeed heading to the Source-a-Thon ! If you want to join don't forget to sign up !

They are already connected to the BIG WikiTree! YEH!!!

And it was a pleasure with the good help of all! Sometimes just by a little link. :D That is what this is about! Using eachothers strenght. <3

I m really busy this week. But I will add a little more. And it was far too much for Peter alone. It would have taken two years to add all and find the right members! :)

Hi,

Just noticed there is a profile for the other Pieter Monster already as well (the earlier one from Strijen I think ?? or is it again a different one ??  with also parents, so added a link to his profile as well now. ...it's a grandson of Pieter Janszoon now...that is of course if it all is correct ...

Ow! Nice!... You re lucky! :D

I have been trying to find the marriage or banns of Catharina and Pieter in around 1767 in Strijen and Oud-Beijerland (as it s said). But so far no luck. Mabey in GaHetNa. I am able to search Baptisms (thanks to B.J.W.) but I got lost in finding scans of marriages earlier today.

Inventaris nr. 114, Scan: 10 MarriageBanns 1767-10-23 The Groom is named (Pieter Jansz Monster) but I can t find the bride.

Ok it's not as complicated as I thought ...it's Pieter Jansz Monsters grandson (the other Pieter I mean) ...so we'll just have to work our way down, or up , Peter has added source links to a lot of profiles already , so we can just add the info from the links to a lot of these profiles I assume :)

And tried the link ..it says the archieven zijn op dit moment niet raadpleegbaar ?
Jan Monster: is born in 1816 in Strijen, The Netherlands, as son of Jacob Monster and Neeltje Noorlander.
Cleaned up and added sources to the son of Piet Janzoon Monster - Jacob Monster and Neeltje Noorlander and their children. Have to run now.
Still cleaning up the profiles of the children of Jacob Monster (son of Pieter Janszoon Monster, so his grandchildren). Most are GedCOM profiles of years ago. Trying to get at least BMD links added.

organized and working on the profiles of his parents Jan Jacobs Monster and mother Lena Pieters van der Linde, added content children and added source from wiewaswie Peter provided and some info, notice Jan found the actual record so that can be added there as well  (profiles of parents :)

Found mother mentioned as churchmember here pg 43 Transcribed lidmaten boek Reformed Church Oud Archief Beijerland

Working on organizing and adding some of the wiewaswie links + the info to oa. the parents of the other Pieter Monster Neeltje Noorlander  and Jacob Monster and will look at the grandparents as well.

Added wiewaswie death info and link to Pieter Monster -19

It looks like this lineage is based on this online genealogy and part of it on this online genealogy and maybe it somehow or somewhere got mixed up ?

Removed Jan Jacobs Monster and Lena van der Linde as parents of Pieter Janszoon Monster-43 now, added posts wit some explaining to the profiles involved with links to them all. + used a recycle Unknown to create a new Pieter Monster as their son adding sources for his children as well and will use another recycle Unknown for a profile for his wife Dirksje Boer if there is no profile for her yet of course.

If Pieter Janszoon Monster-43 needs parents and if there are no profiles for them yet, instead of creating new profiles, you can of course use recycle Unknowns for those as well . :)

Working on adding sources and improving profiles and looking for some as well

I thought his parents were Jan Crelisse Monster and Neeltje Ariensdr Nooteboom! Do we have enough sources to show his parents are Jan Jacobs Monster and Lena Pieters van der Linde?

Monsters, monsters, beeheeheestjes!
Lena was born in 1749 and Pieter Janszoon in 1742!
No that's the problem with this lineage, it looks like parts are mixed up, so children from different branches are added to the wrong parents , that's why we need sources and to check the whole lineage ....if we're lucky the only thing wrong are the parents of Pieter Janszoon Monster, but if we're not, many more might be added or connected to totally wrong parents ...
Yep! :D
So let's hope it's not a real MONSTER lineage eeh :)

What we know for sure now is Pieter died at the age of 77 and a half year in 1819!!! Was married to Marija Fortuijn. So he was born in 1742 (june or July probably), We know for sure he married first with Kaatje Valois/de Valoijs etc. in 1767 and we know for sure the same Pieter (widower of Kaatje Valois, married in 1772 with Maria Fortuijn.

Now his birth year is set to 1760, but he married in 1767.

That's really great Be !
Thanks, but no baptismal records of Sint Anthoniepolder...
I search on baptism, just for sure in Oud-Beijerland and Puttershoek 1741-1743. No success so far.

Here's something, transcripts of the baptims from St Anthonie polder 1628-1669 it looks like there were not very many Churchmembers , but found :

05-02-1668 Cornelis Jan Hendricks Monster
Maijken Cornelis
B.W..J. Molier Where you found:

moeder overleden voor de doop van Catharinus (25-6-1769)

Okay I found it. Baptism Johannes Catharinus 1769-06-25 Now my Latin is not so good............. :D http://prntscr.com/chak0g

Unfortunately this online genealogy does not appear to give sources, but it looks pretty thorough and might contain clues that can be corroborated, for example Pieter's [Monster-43] parents being Jan Crelisse Monster and Neeltje Ariensdr Nooteboom

by Rob Ton G2G6 Pilot (288k points)

Yes Rob :) Thank you. And this one too. Voorouders  van Willem Well they are good leads.

I think the wrong parents were attached to Pieter Jansz Monster (Monster-43)  because he and the other (new) Pieter Jansz Monster  both were sons of men named Jan Monster. So that's where the confusion started ..and hopefully it was the only thing that went wrong..

And these leads are very helpful so thanks for sending and adding them here :)

Some transcribed records here: Rechterlijk Archief 3 (RA3) Sint Anthoniepolder mention a number of different Monsters and relationships around the time of Pieter's (Monster-43) birth. One record from 1733 mentions a Arjaantje Kleinendorst widow of Pieter Monster (an earlier entry in 1732 gives this as another Pieter Jans Monster) and the Heir Jan Piterse Monster as well as some possible siblings and their spouses.

More relevant in 1739 there is a record "Transport huis op het Swanegat. Arij Jans Verrijp aan Andries van der Wulp. Z. Arij Cornelisse IJsselmonde, N. Jan Cornelis Monster." I suspect Jan Cornelis given in this entry is the individual given in some genealogies as Jan Crelisse Monster.

From the transcribed records here the only Jan I can find listed as a child to a Cornelis Monster was baptized on 20 Mar 1695, although if I am interpreting the transcription correctly biologically Jan Cornelis Monster may be the son of Mangelis Maertens Groenevelt

There is a [8?] May 1719 marriage at nearby Cillaarshoek for Jan Corn Monster and Neeltie Ariensen Nooteboom (FamilySearch Image) the alleged parents of Pieter Jans (Monster-43)

Thanks Astrid you're amazing !

And I'll ask Eowyn if she can take a look at the Cookie Monster ? ? Cookie Monster Looks to be part of a normal familytree, guess the manager wanted to stay incognito or something...or ..he or she really is named Coockie Monster ?? You never know eeh :P
You are too! And yeh you never know -)

lol already got lost in adding but doing my besties. :)
Added few........... but those Monsters are confusing..... Please check what I did. Won t be here tomorrow.

Is there someone out there to read with me:

It is about Jan Hendricks Monster and his wife at the baptism of his children I got confused.

02-06-1664 Hendrick 1 e (1 e Kind) Jan Hendricks Monster tr 1663 Maijken Cornelis Bosman get. Mayken Andries Polderdijk x Jacob Hendrik Monster

03-03-1666 Pleuntie 2 e Jan Hendricks Monster geb 1633 SAP x 1e Pleuntje Corn.Polderdijk Maeijken Cornelis Bosman geb 1641

05-02-1668 Cornelis 3 e Jan Hendricks Monster x 1e 1659 Pleuntje Cornelis Polderdijk Maijken Cornelis Bosman geb 1641 Pu, 2e 1663

19-01-1670 Hendrick 4 e Jan Hendricks Monster Maijken Maergie Cornelis Bosman get. Arijaentie Cornelis

14-02-1672 Pieter 5 e Jan Hendriks Monster Maijken Cornelis Bosman

25-11-1674 Gerrit 6 e Jan Hendricks Monster Maijken Cornelis Bosman

24-11-1675 Marijken 7 e Jan Hendricks Monster Maeijken Cornelis Bosman get. Jacob Hendriks Monster, Pieter Cornelis Bosman 1649 en Lijnghtie Willems

I read Pleuntje Cornelis Polderdijk was the first wife of Jan Hendricks. Second wife is Maeijken Cornelis Bosman they marry in 1663.

Thank you for your time and support!

I think you're right Astrid :)
Thank you!

Ok we zitten nu lekker breed in mid 1600 familieleden.

Beddddddddddtijd!

Helemaal super ..hahaha...ja Monsters overal dan ineens he :P Monsterboard whahahaha .
