How can you hide the photos on the side of a persons page especially when they have been added within the biography?

I saw this recently discussed, but I cannot find the discussion to reread it.  The images I am uploading, I am putting into the person's biography.  When I originally read the discussion, there seemed to be a way to eliminate or hide the images from showing along the right hand side of the persons page.

Thank you!

I solved the photo clutter on profiles, by creating a free space profile as a photo depository,
I also think Patricias solution is the best. The WikiTree profile page is rather static....
Patricia,

To better understand your reply - you set up a "free space profile" for photos.  You then upload all your photos to that free space profile.  From that free space profile you then cut and paste the image snipet to your biographies and all is okay?   Do you somehow organize all your photos on your free space profile page?

Kathy
Yes - when adding to the biography section, I place the code for that photo where I want it placed. Also pics with multiple people, even if not wanting to place in biography, I add to the photo album and just check off all the profiles I would like it added to, from the list below the photo.
My jaw actually dropped. This is an excellent solution. Great idea!
Hi Patricia,
would like a bit more clarification.  I understand how to place the image code snipet into the bio section of a person for the image to appear....
But  on your free space page - are you adding all of your images to one main free space page, OR, are you creating free space pages for each of your surnames and placing the images that go with each surname on THAT page?  or are you some other way organizing the images so you can quickly find them.

I am not only adding actual photos of the people, but scanned images of documents - birth, marriage, death certificates, baptismal records, census pages, etc.  lots of things to make the bio more interesting for people.   So in the end a ton of images so to speak.

also, images that go with multiple people you said you check those people off in the check box.  Doesn't this then put those images onto their profile page on the right hand side?

Thanks for your assist

Kathy
I don't use that many photos, so they are all in one Free Space (at least the photos I've added after creating it)  I've not found a way to organize them so when looking for an image I sort by how resent they were added, to lessen the number of pages to go through to find it.  There may be a better way, but that works fine for me.

For the ones that I've not placed the image in the bio section, yes, by checking the box it puts it on the right.

Hi if you need a place to upload photo's or images feel free to add them here Granny's pictures it has some explaining as well, it's an open free space page, to make sure the pictures are visible for everyone (if images are added to a profile or free space page with a higher privacy level, these images or photo's only are visible for the manager and the trusted list members, but no one else will be able to see the image. So if you don't feel like creating a free space page, you can use this one :)
