GEDCOM to Wiki Tree, File not uploaded; only GEDCOM files with a .ged extension can be used

Trying to upload GEDCOM file from Ancestry.com but keep getting error message> file not uploaded only GEDCOM files with a .ged extension can be processed.

hi Liz, I am still asking more questions.. I do not think I have a GED files so how would I get my     information that I already have from My  Heritage .com to wiki tree. I tried but it did not work. I do not understand the instructions I get. I am interested but  would need hands on to go through with it.

Hi Kay,

Does your file not end in .ged?

You might try exporting from Ancestry again. They may have other export options, besides GEDCOM 5.5.
