David Price Adams was my great great grandfather. He had a son named John Houston Adams, my great grandfather Is buried in manitou ok. David P Jr was a confederate soldier. His father was granted land in NC for his action in the War of 1812-14

David is a first cousins 5 times removed, I see Adams DNA relatives in my research but can’t find my 3rd great grandmothers maiden name was thanking the Adams family from Old Pendelton District oof South Carolina maybe my line.

If I’m not mistaken, Jonathan had 3 daughters marry into the Adams family.

On 11 August 1860 in the small village of Valley Town located in Cherokee County, North Carolina, a visitor was out knocking on doors. This visitor was M. Lain, the census taker. He enumerated the family of David Adams and provides the following information. David was a farmer with real estate valued at $ 600 and personal $700. David is 40 years old married to Clarinda age 37. David is listed as being born in Haywood County with his wife in Macon County North Carolina. Their first child was born in Cherokee County in 1848 with the others children in the same county:
