Who were the parents of William A Zingler, who was born 03 April 1840 and lived in Dobberphul, Germany, Prussia?

William A Zingler married Ernestine Schutt in 1865 in Germany. I have found William, Ernestina and two of their children who were born in 1872, and 1874 in Dobberphul, Germany, (which is now a part of Poland),from familysearch.org church records.  The family lived in Dobberphul, along with Caroline Muller, who was Ernestine Schutt's Mother. Would like information on William A Zingler Parents names, and where the Zingler and Schutt families were born.

Tracking their movements may be a bit tricky. Especially the area that you are refering to. Tons of records were destroyed and or lost in the war making Polish,German,Latvian, Ect. family members hard to locate. Church records are a good start, but if you knew a profession you may be able to get a better source. Many trades required "certificates" and formal training that were kept in extremely detailed records.

I had a set of relatives from Riga that I lost completely on paper until I found out that the husband was a horologist "<--- spelling.." watch maker/repair person. Well it turns out that they stopped using thier given names swapped for thier middle names and I picked up the trail in a phone book of all places. He was basically an "intern" working for a jeweler in Portugal. There are many professional "contact" books on the web that have addresses and numbers for the specific trade. These were common in that era and were sort of like a "linked-in" type of thing.

Thank you Michael Fontenot.  MyGreat-Grandfather William A Zingler was a Farmer in Dobberphul, Pomeran, Germany.  When the family moved to the United States he was also a farmer.  I have records from Wisconsin, and Minnesota where the family lived after they immigrated to the US in 1874, but I have been  trying to trace the Family in Pommern, Germany, and what is now Dobropole, Poland to trace the family back further. I have attached  the records from family search.org that proves that he lived in Dobberphul, Pommern, (Prussia), Germany.
