As a descendant of Jean Guyon, I discovered many years ago that Celine Dion was my distant cousin. However, I had no idea that all those other people were distant cousins as well. The surname Dion is apparently a corruption of the surname Guyon (they sound very similar, especially the French pronunciations). Dion became a "dit name" for Guyon.
