I am researching my maternal line, my fifth great grandma was Sarah or Sally Ann Carnes/Cairnes, Born 1171/4 in Kentucky Married 1795 Kentucky and D 1848 Ill.?
She married Michael E Huffman/Hoffman he was born 1765 S.C or Va and died in Ill..I am wondering why I can't find her info ? I have a strange mutation in dna saying I am tri-racial.And am wondering why and where my family is. thank you..

Eva, I deleted the 'euroaristo' tag from your post, since that's for the European Aristocrats Project, which this post doesn't have anything to do with.  Also, I added the link to the profile about which you're inquiring.

Best of luck with your search!

Hello, I was doing some research for a History paper. I was doing a search for John C. Huffman when I came across this. Sally Carnes would be my 6th great grandmother.
John C Huffman is my 6th great grandpa.Micheal and Sarah Carnes Huffman are my 5Th great grandparents.I have had my dna tested.I have one match maternally.and a whole lot of cousins mostly paternal. This is my current brick wall.
Would Sarah be a sister to Josiah Ashbury Carnes Sr of 1765? He married Patience Marsh in Masin Co Ky in 1795. I found the info on a Netherlands genealogy website.
She could very well be.I have nothing past what I posted and a dna test. This is so very awesome and I am forever looking for family. A love of anything family has began..Hello cousin.

I noticed that your Sarah Huffman profile is a duplicate.  I've recommended a merge.  The other profile shows Sarah as being born in Lincoln, Kentucky.  A census/tax search for the late 1700s/early 1800s shows there was a Joseph Carns on the 1800 tax list in Lincoln, KY.   There was a Josiah Carnes on the 1820 and 1830 Lincoln, KY census.  You might try researching and see what you find.  Best of luck!
