David Selman they at the record office may need to know they left Ston off of Blackston / Blackstone is actually the proper way but her dad didn't use the E in Blackstone but I promise you she was a Blackston it is even in the Obituary as Blackston and on her Grave she was my dad's Cousin she even was on his Sign in at death at Grays Mortuary her father and sibling's are Blackston , how did they make this mistake,  lol how many times in the past has this happened.

lol how many times in the past has this happened."

It happens all the time past and present, people write in cursive instead of printing on forms as instructed, the data is miss enter often since the person inputting the info can not read the name correctly and just guesses, hitting the wrong key. You can go to the expense, trouble to try and correct it. I wish you the best of luck as working with any government agency can be very frustrating.

Ok Thank's  that may be the reason her Grandparents was Blackstone,  her parents was Blackston she was a Black  I guess the next generation will be just,B          look  their B, Is ,    lol
She was a nice lady never got to meet her but once but she was on a Gospel Radio Station in South Carolina channel 16, she was a Reverend of I believe her husband's church after he passed away she came to my dad's funeral and introduce herself as my Father's Cousin she passed away the same year, well Thanks for your help
