National Archives Flickr Albums. Lyndon B. Johnson, abt. age six, Texas, ca. 1915. The little girl in the photo is not identified. If she is his sister, then she would be Rebekah Luruth Johnson, as they were separated by about two years. Retrieved 23 Sep 2916.

Lyndon's mother, Rebekah (Baines) Johnson is attributed as the photographer in one location and in another this is declared as uncertain. Either way it is dated prior to 1923 and is now free of copyright.

Great picture, looks like it may have been taken on the front porch of his child hood home. Next time we are in Johnson City,Texas will imagine him and his sister sitting on the steps. Have visited his child hood home as well as the LBJ Ranch in Stonewall, Texas.
Thanks for the first hand location knowledge David.
LBJ Freeway runs right by my house.  Thank you for Sharing this amazing photo.
You're welcome, Sally. As much as I've traveled, haven't made it to Texas yet. Thanks for sharing.

Great photo, Rod.  Someone once told me to look at a person's ears to help identify unknown people in family photos, and President Johnson's ears certainly didn't change.

The ears? How interesting. I will have to keep that in mind. Thanks, Star.
