There have been a couple merge requests with an unsourced John Reade from Wales. Would a researcher who knows this era and its sources please take a look at these profiles? The History of Parliament article gives John a Checkendon, Oxfordshire origin.

Actually I think he got into Checkendon through his wife? Also look at various articles on the British History Online article.

I have been watching this article also and I think the real question is why Wikitree and some internet sites connect him to another family in Wales?

Rede-2 has some reputable sources while the whole line of ancestors of Reade-231 has some sketchy information from the LDS Pedigree file so I marked those as unsourced. (Read/Rede/Reed/Reade are not uncommon surnames). I would not merge them unless they update the information with verifiable sources.
