When Henry August Meise, Jr. applied for Social Security, he gave his mother's name as "Lydia V. Utlaut."(U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 [Ancestry.com. database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2015.)

In 1910, a Lydia Utlaut, 3 b. Missouri, lived in Grand Pass, Saline, Missouri, with her parents, Frederick W. and Emma Utlaut and numerous brothers and sisters.("United States Census, 1910," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MLM9-YTY : 29 October 2015), Lydia ? Utlaut in household of Friedrich W Utlaut, Grand Pass, Saline, Missouri, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 171, sheet 1B, NARA microfilm publication T624 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 1,374,836.)

An online family tree shows that Lydia Viola Utlaut and Henry August Meise were married at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Blackburn, Saline, Missouri, on 17 April 1929.  No source given for this information. Another site gives the source: Descendants of Eberhard Dietrich Cappelmann, by Roger Morgan, published 08 Feb 2011. Unfortunately, I cannot find this source anywhere online.

Interesting that I have found a Death Certificate for Matilda Sophia Meise, the wife of Henry Meise and the daughter of Wm. Utlaut and Emma Rufi. She was born on 7 Feb 1894 in Deer, Missouri, and died on 21 Nov 1926 in Washington, Franklin County, Missouri.(Missouri Death Certificates, 1910 - 1965; Missouri Digital Heritage, 1926 Franklin County, Certificate #34455. http://www.sos.mo.gov/images/archives/deathcerts/1926/1926_00036364.PDF)  I can't find a grave for her.  She is shown in the same 1910 Census entry as the Lydia Utlaut I found earlier.
