it is a great line that split early from Bertie County NC went to Dobbs co nc then like for or five went to KY,  the after a bit like three or for went to Illinios, but the Johnson still remain in bertie and surrounding counties. Im just starting to dig and started with what my grandmother had and one other cousin thats been researching for a while . its difficult for me cause i only deal in proven documented finds. and other tend to do speculation. I really think my line witch if im correct on my thoughts go back to john johnson sr and also ties many of the newer johnson clans together... Help Please. I just getting started on tree but i put in my male line straight up to get started .

Robert,
You will have to add enough information to an open profile (white padlock
sign) for anyone else to see your information to know if their ancestry matches your.  When you are comfortable with that level you may get help.
Ditto Beulah. I would love to help but I have to know when he was borneded.
can i white level myself or does it have to be a deceased

male line , so yes my fathers line . some did go south to SC before KY so a few could have stayed. i have it back till Isiaha Johnson abt 1725 - abt 1799
Edgecombe County, NC, USA .

I have Johnsons in my So. Ga. line. I'll help you. Throw out some names, nicknames, family stories, dates as close as you can, doesn't have to be exact. What religion? Civil War? Revolutionary War? Indian Wars? Johnson line on your father or mother's side? Any little stuff will get us on the scent.
