Good morning, team! What are you working on today? Yesterday I was driving through Nova Scotia Unsourced Profiles. Today I might do Maine or Massachusetts. Somebody must have been working in Maine because that category is really empty.

I've been doing some Maine work, but not enough to empty it!

Welcome, Deborah! That NEGHS membership is valuable.
Great progress, Deborah!
Great to see you're still at it, Deborah! I'm going to bed soon, so you'll be our team's lead sourcerer. :-)
Thanks Chris! Have a good night!

And that makes my total for this Source-a-thon: 60!

Awesome work, Deborah!

I'm #224.  Not interested in New England for my family,  but wife's family arrived in the early 1900s and settled in Boston area.

Welcome, Ralph! Glad to have you on the team.
Sorry guys,  life interferes.  Had no time today and doubt I'll have time tomorrow.   If I can fix a few things, I'll be back.

Got one! Abbott-5856. Is this how we report?
Got another one: Accors-2. Hate these imported GEDCOMs, hate Ancestry too; no open access. My source reference is from a FamilySearch Pedegree Resource File; requires login, BUT the account is free of charge; just as all genealogy sites should be!

BTW: The F/S file is loaded if anyone wants to fill this profile out
Got Adams-16442; again FamilySeach Pedegree Resource File (PRF); more gold there (just sayin...)
Adams-21130; Added Find A Grave. This profile has lots of problems; needs more work than I have time.

Adams-14435; found two for her death, each had unique data: Massachusetts Deaths and Burials, 1795-1910 &

Massachusetts Deaths, 1841-1915

Find A Grave was confusing for surname "Morss"

Alexander-360 too 'hosed' to fix (nonsensical). Birth states 1584 in Braintree, Mass (nobody's here but us injuns); died in 1644 in ENGLAND!! No other data fills to go on. Believe it or not: had been merged with another profile

Allen-2329: Still looking, found FamilySeach PRF on his daughter, Louisa (Allen-2342) and dropped URL into that profile; that profile wasn't "Unsourced"; common courtesy. Two hours later: I surrender on 2329. Too many GEDCOMs that just dump trash.

Allen-14449: Found POSSIBLE Find A Grave entry; left URL under 'Source', but did not remove "Unsourced" Tag; closely fits the limited profile data, but couldn't be sure if it's 'good'

Allen-21902: Here's a cherry to pick, if you have Ancestry. Log on and go to: http://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/patience-allen_37869556

Hi Vern. Abbott-5856 looks good. To update your list, you can just click the "edit" on one of your posts and add the new sourced profile(s).

Allen-11016: Like Alexander-360; too hosed to make sense of; birth date (estimated) is 1502. Well over a hundred if he made it here. Died in Sandwich, Mass in 1548... Really? Don't think the native tribes would call a village "Sandwich". Better go back and see if I flunked U.S. History...

Armstrong-2683: Another cherry to pick if you have Ancestry. Login and go to: http://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/edmund-armstrong_10995677

Barnes-3221: Done. This profile is one of the best I have seen. Very well written and sourced. Simply edited out the Unsourced tags

Baker-1260: Done. Wiped out GEDCOM File and rewrote Biography complete with source data.

Barnes-1094: Done. Re-wrote the biography based on source data available. Had to "re-wire" family connections. All sources properly documented. Lotsa hours, but profile is now accurate.

Beck-726: Found an LDS Pedigree Resources File, enough connections to validate as the right person, however most data was unsourced. Dropped the link into the profile's SOURCE, but did not add or modify the profile (discretion of profile manager) or remove UNSOURCED Tags.

Beck-1367: Done. Ditto above, except there were quite a few name issues. So I sent a private message to the profile owner with the link to let him make the choice. Revisited and made proper connections despite name issues; added sources for all info and for her and husband.

Belknap-169: got caught up in the sources dilema - I can't prove that they do exist, but no proof that they don't. Husband reported as Samual Nurse; father Benjamin - can't find a child named Samuel/Samual. Found a Capt. Samuel Nurse and shadowed marriage to Hannah Bernard on WorldConnect no dates, parentage, siblings or children

Bennett-4601: Done. Unable to find birth data (still estimated by author), but added marriage and Census data to husband and wife.

Bennett-4606: Done. Had to create husband Stephen Sears to complete. Sourced both profiles.
counted 16 up to Beck-1367; keep up the good work, Vern!

Welcome to the team, Mary Rose!
Am I supposed to do something else to generate the numbr of people I've sources? I should have about 8.
Hi Mary Rose. Great to see you sourcing! Technically we should be listing the WikiTree IDs of the profiles we remove from the Unsourced categories here. See http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Source-a-Thon_Tutorial for really detailed instructions.
OK - Thanks again!
Great, Mary Rose! I just converted your list to a numbered list, to make it easy for me to count. :-)
