Mary went by the name of Molly although I called her bunny as a child cos i couldn't say granny.

she was married to  Bernard John Nixon from Pretoria.  He simply went by the name John.  Mary died of leukemia when i was a teen, she passed away in Durban South Africa.  I am trying to track down birth and marriage info which is somewhat elusive and trying to find her parents, my great grandparents to see when they emigrated to south africa.

After endless hours of Googling around the web, I found two SouthAfrican genealogy databases.

I used gendatabase.com it has a $15 dollar price tags for a month.  It takes its info from "Government gazzette and Population Registration".  I have tracked down some of my ancestors.  It's not perfect though has death and marriage record data no images.  I found my grandmother's death info but no real marriage info.

Still researching.  Feel free to chime in with good ideas.
