I am searching for information on my Great Grandfather, John Frances Gould. It could be spelled Goulde. Here is the information I have:
John F. Gould or Goulde was born in Canada. (Probably Newfoundland) in December 1887 He died in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan on 29 December 1947. He was an adapted child. I do not know what his adapted Gould parents names were and I very much would like to learn them.
He married my Great Grandma and she has more name variations then I have ever seen. They are Alvina M. Resch (I have seen it Albina on the LDS family search however I am certain that is a typo) also, Alvina Rausch and Resche. She was born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, Canada on 16 December 1886. She died 17 January 1967. in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States. We have her ancestry.
John and Alvina's children are:
Adeline Gould (1905 - 1981) born in Newfoundland, died in Wisconson. Lived mainly in Michigan.
Eva Georgina Gould (1907-1986) born in Newfoundland, died in Michigan. My grandmother.
Doris Alvina Knepp (1913 -1973) born in Newfoundland, died in Michigan
John Benjamin Gould (1915-1986) born in Newfoundland, died in Michigan
Barbra M. Gould (1917 - 1957) born in Newfoundland, died in Michigan
William Leo Gould (1922 - 1995) born in Newfoundland, died in Michigan.
Mary Gould (1909 - unknown)
All of the sibling generations are known, except Mary Gould or Goulde. I am looking for her information. What I know, besides the fact that she was born in Newfoundland and her parents were John and Alvina are her parents, is that her husband was Albert White. When I was a young boy, she come to our house and she could only speak French. At that time, in the 60s, I believe they lived in Quebec or Montreal or French Canada. Please, any information would be great. firstname.lastname@example.org
