William (Henry) (F.)leming) Milne is believed to have been a scot.  who joined the B.A. in 1866 at (19/20) years of age and went to India and returned to Britain in 1877 and then on to Ireland in 1879 and died 1883. He joined the B.A. in Belfast in 1866 with the 96th reg. and then in India transferred to the 109 th. reg (1873). On returning to Britain in 1877 whent from there to Ireland and was part of depot staff at Birr barracks.  His ex army mates would have only met him again in Nov.1882 when the were now the 2nd reg of the soon to be well known Leinster Reg.

Married Agnes Brebner in 1866 Scotland Kerriemuir Ans. Scotland
