Here is some information about the family:

http://thereevesproject.org/data/tiki-index.php?page=Reeves_Unknown_3710

William Edge and Serilda Reeves had married in Chambers Co., AL, in 1837. Further confirmation that Serilda was the daughter-in-law of Joshua and Jemima Reeves is found in the fact that she is buried in the Pike Family Cemetery, where Joshua's daughter Bethenia Reeves Pike and her family are buried.

Are you sure that Serilda is buried at Pike Cemetery? I am a little confused bc I saw Serilda Pike Edge is buried at Pike According to find a grave she is buried at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery there is a photo of her headstone that reads Srylda Ruskin (Rushton) Reeves Edge?

Just shared a link I found, you or the person who asked the question would have to do more research.. as in any other source that may not exactly fit,  but it is a start. I am not related to or have that surname in my ancestoral branches, was just trying to help. When one ask a general question, pretty much you get general answers.. I  just wanted to help get "get started.

Once a  profile is created for that person (if one hasn't been already) Tiffany, please feel free to share your source and other thoughts on it!!  Looks like you have some info that would help make a great profilesmiley

Serilda's brother, Bennett Jackson Rushton, was my 4x great grandfather
My 4x’s great grandmother was Serilda Josephine Rushton Ragland whom married Franklin Marion Ragland. she was the the niece of Serilda reeves edge. Serilda Josephine Rushton Ragland’s father was Joseph Rushton brother of Serilda Reeves Edge and Bennett Jackson Rushton. Joseph and Bennett were pottery makers. Bennett moved to Mississippi and had a pottery factory there while Joseph ran a pottery factory in Randolph Co. Al written about in a book by Joey Brackner titled Alabama Folk Pottery. Do you know the location of Serilda Reeves Edge’s grave? Some Rushton family members like Joseph and Martha Lorance Rushton are buried in Randolph Co. in the old Cedric Cemetery. Serilda Josephine Rushton Ragland is buried @fellowship Baptist Church in Randolph County Al in what used to be called Bacon Level. And Bennett is buried in his family cemetery in Mississippi. If anyone would like to share info my email address is tcarroll83@live.com, thanks

Richard Folsom ? do you know where Serilda Reaves edge is buried? I was told it was in the Pike family Cemetery ? Was Georgia Reaves and Georgean Folsom the same person ? and was she Serilda’s daughter or grandchild?
Hello. Serilda was my 4th great grandmother. Family lore has it that the elderly Serilda left Randolph Co with her beloved grand daughter Georgi or Georgeanne aka Georgia Anne Reeves and her husband W D “Bill” Folsom in the mid 1880’s.  The trip took 4 months in covered wagon it is said.    Bill bought some land on the Marshall / Blount Co line near Hopewell. Serilda died and was buried there in 1894.   Her grand daughters who were little children when she died united to erect a tombstone many years later.  apparently none of them knew how to spell very well thus Srylda Ruskin Reeves Edgs was the result.

The rest of the story is a lot of guess work.   I believe the Edge infants in Pike Cem were Serilda and William B Edge’s.  Serilda’s middle name started with a P.  Maybe Permilia.  The stone in Pike cem says Serilda P Edge.  Presumed Serilda Pike Edge.  It only gives year of birth 1820.  The Edge stones are more modern 20th century.  I wonder if anyone is really buried under Serida’s stone there.  I can’t find William B Edge’s grave.   I have done much research on Rushton’s.  Reeves.  Pike’s and Edge’s.     I’m on find a grave.
I could not find any Ruskins in Randolph Co AL or in western Georgia. What I did find was the names Serilda, Georgia Ann or Georgiana and Demerville or Demerval repeating in the Rushton family there and Demerval carried over to the Pike family.  They and the Reeves and Folsom’s were all related by marriage.  Many moved on to Texas.   My 2nd great grandfather Bill Folsom sold the jugs made by the Rushtons and others in Randolph  Co.   Later he opened his own jug Factory at hopewell in the 1890’s. His brother Rev John Franklin Folsom and his extended family are buried at Pike Cemetery in Randolph Co AL
