Who are the parents of Julia Houser of North Carolina

Hello!  I'm seeking information on my 3x ggm, Julia (Houser) Alley, born in about 1845 supposedly in North Carolina. I cannot find anything on her origins, at all.  

Here is what I DO have: 

• census records from 1870, 1880, 1900, and 1920.  (they list her as Julia E. Alley)
• death records for her children (listed as Liza Julia Houser)

I've scoured Family Search and Ancestry and cannot find anything else.  Does anyone have any other resources, maybe for North Carolina specifically?  I'd sure appreciate the help!  Thanks!!!!
