My grandfather's line goes back to Michael  Durrbut he is buried in High Hill Cem, Norris , MS and his Last Will and Testament was dated Dec 179e.

He had a son, along with several other children, named William Michael Durr (Aug 1834) who married Martha Ann Roland, sister to my Susan Amanda Roland and daughters of Allen and Sara (Flora?) Chisham Roland.

If this is what you are looking for I have considerable amount of information.

This was researched by an older member of our family and he gave me this info.  The family goes back to NA
Lavisa Bell Durr is my Grandmother. A confirmed relationship from the Anderson side of my family whose uncle is Sidney Anderson from Kentucky. It was said she was listed as white but later to black or possibly cast out cause she married my great grandfather William Robert Downtown. She was listed as white but maybe a black Spanish admixture as it was highly possible in Kentucky and with the Durr surname being black Dutch and all.

my line is as follows Mother Marcella Liles

grandfather James Douglass Downtown

great grandparents William Downtown and Lillian Anderson

great great grandparents John and Dora Dorsey Downtown and Sidney Anderson and Lavisa Bell Durr

grear great great Oliver Downtown and Martha Wilhite/Posey
Michael Durr was the name of one of my ancestors and my grandfather told me she was Dutch or Deutesh.  I may have mentioned this but in Europe where several countires connect and intermarry they come up with light colored skin and blond hair (from the Germans, etc) or dark skin and dark hair from the countries whose traits this involves.  In fact, He said she was "Black Deutish".  Mr Wilkins who was over our Genealogy dept told me that this was a known fact.  The Dutch, French/German, etc when intermarried could have children completely opposite in features.

I have a lot on Michael Durr for my Roland side connects with this family.
