I am looking for information as to the father of William Campbell, born 5/16/1778 and died 5/15/1865.  His wife was Elizabeth Reeder, born 4/5/1782 and died 3/2/1856

Sorry about that.  From what I have gathered, William Campbell was born in the United States, either Pennsylvania or New Jersey.  I did find an 1860 census in which he lived with daughter Priscilla Campbell Zimmerman.  He is listed on this census as William Campbell. There is also an Obadiah Campbell, with the name of Obadiah also listed on the 1860 census.  So, I can determine that this William Campbell is not Obadiah William Campbell Junior.
